The Story
More Than a Place
Fourteen years ago, this was just an abandoned camp and a couple of guys with an idea. An idea that maybe—just maybe—there could be a place in rural Florida where gay men could show up as their whole selves. Laugh too loud, wear too little, cry if they needed to, and feel completely at home.
What started as an idea became something more. Over the years, we’ve watched people arrive for the first time looking nervous, maybe a little guarded—and leave standing a little taller. Friendships have begun around campfires. Relationships have started at the pool. Chosen family has formed under these trees.
This isn’t just a resort. It’s a community.
